Cheers Flag Auction
We’re auctioning off the Cheers flag that proudly flew in front of our building in the year 2022 — a cherished piece of memorabilia that holds plenty of stories and spirit. This is your chance to take home a meaningful symbol while giving back: net proceeds will benefit Cheers for Children, supporting children in need throughout our community. Starting bid is $1,500. Please comment your bid below. Bids not accompanied by an email address will be disregarded. Bidding closes on 7/27/2025 at 11:59pm eastern time. Winner will be notified by 7/29/2025 by email and be given a link to donate the bid amount by credit card. Failure to respond to notification will result in forfeit to the next highest bidder. Actual flag may differ from one shown. Flag does show natural signs of wear and tear around edges due to having been outdoors and experiencing New England weather conditions.

2022 in Boston was a year marked by big comebacks, historic milestones, and major challenges. The year began with a massive January blizzard that dropped nearly two feet of snow, setting the tone for an eventful year. In April, the Boston Marathon returned to Patriots’ Day for the first time since the pandemic, with Kenyan runners Evans Chebet and Peres Jepchirchir taking top honors. Festivals also made a strong return—Boston Calling rocked the city with headliners like Metallica, while the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular lit up the Esplanade on the Fourth of July. Civic life saw a historic shift as Massachusetts elected women to all three top statewide offices for the first time. Cultural events like First Night, Harborfest, and Head of the Charles Regatta drew crowds once again, while court decisions such as the Supreme Court’s ruling in Shurtleff v. City of Boston sparked conversation around free speech and public space. Through it all, Boston showed resilience—balancing celebration with reflection in a city constantly evolving.
